BLOCK CUTTER FOR MARBLE, TRAVERTINE, SLATE

I Asa result of an experience which has matured throughout the technological evolution of more than 2,000 block cutters already manufactured, M586 synthesizes all the operational characteristics needed today.
I M586 processes extra sizes which are quite present in irregular blocks and allows for the utilization of very large power motors that realize the maximum productivity.
I The high precision movements, the simplicity of use and maintenance the extreme sturdiness of all components guarantee for M586 high reliability and life span

  1. “single disc" cutting system

I M586 block cutter achieves exceptional productivity
results on standard formats with “sealetta“ and “double
disc“ cutting systems.
I Such exclusive technologies allow for the utilization
of up to 160 kW (220 HF) vertical discs drive motor,
and to make profit of the whole motor power to obtain
the maximum cutting speed.
I In case the required characteristic is flexibility in strip
thickness and width, M586 is utilized in the “single
disc" set up.

I Frame and bridge are built in large thickness normalized steel work, disc holder trolley and its slide are built in cast iron.
I “ V “ guides with oil pits for continuous lubrication have been machined onto bridge structure, which also houses control mechanisms for cut-return and for transversal displacements.
I The trolley is made in extremely rigid closed structure. The housing for vertical disc spindle as well as the fittings for horizontal disc unit, for main motor and for contrast wheels have been directly machined onto trolley structure.

  1. The disc holder trolley is driven through a gear motor/ pinion and rack system.

I Double “V" large surface coupling between trolley slide and bridge guide trolley movement along the bridge whilst pre loaded wheels compact trolley and bridge to realize a clearance- free sliding system
I Another set of pre loaded wheels, that compacts bridge and the two transversal beams, contributes to create a system that realizes straight cuts and complete high power utilization that allows for machine very high productivity.
I The vertical discs mounting area onto the spindle has been designed very large to permit the “scaletta" and “double disc" setting systems.

  1. The columns house the precision screws as well as the relevant angle transmissions This peculiar technology allows for a large transversal beams' bridge assembly vertical stroke to be obtained through reduced length columns that, for this reason, are very rigid and compact.
  2. The low friction screws, that are synchronized through three shafts that connect the angle transmissions operate into lead nuts made in antifriction alloy and fixed onto the sliders The sliders travel along the guides that are directly machined onto columns structure.
  3. The columns, that are solidly anchored to the foundation, are stiffened at the top through three connecting beams and (wo stiffening ribs.
  1. The direct drive horizontal disc can be programmed to work during the cutting stroke or during the return stroke or during both strokes.

I Diamond discs cooling is performed through a very rational easily inspected water distribution system.
I All machine movements are protected with fixed guards built in material that is not attached by oxidation.

  1. The M586 is pre-set for the mounting of automatic and semi-automatic unioaders.
  2. Sucker type automatic unloader, suitable for travertine as well, slides over the guides fixed on the top of the columns. Its operational elements are stressed only through material weight traction and this provides maximum stability whilst creating no ground space obstruction. The unloader is controlled through FLC and is programmed to unload the strips, one at a time, in vertical or horizontal position.
  3. The jib-crane semiautomatic unloader is controlled through manual keyboard. Should it be equipped with a sucker system, strips will be unloaded one at a time in vertical or horizontal position. If equipped with a pincer system, it will unload one or (wo strips at a time in the vertical position.
  1. The control panel for programming and visualizing of the cutting parameters is assembled onto the electric panel.
  2. The motion motors are controlled through inverters; the vertical and transversal displacements axis are controlled through encoder as well.
  3. The large size electric panel is water and dust proof in compliance with IP54 standards and is air-conditioned by heath exchanger.
  4. M586 is also available in the following versions: With “step cutting" automatic cycle (MG) to cut particularly hard materials.

With large diameter horizontal disc for cutting of curbs. With oversized transversal stroke for cutting of “extralarge" blocks.

  1. The machine is available for transversal or longitudinal block trolley entry.

I All the parts have undergone structural checksfollowing the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and easy and correct in loco assembly.

  1. The compactness of the structural welding and of the mechanical parts is ultrasound controlled.

I The entire machine surface is protected with two layers of epoxy paint applied after the sand blasting operation.
